Campbell, Bloom and Huhne at Wildern School

Eastleigh Councillor Louise Bloom serves Fair Trade coffee to Sir Menzies Campbell and Chris Huhne at the d.@rt Centre in Wildern High School. The Fair Trade coffee shop was opened with a grant from the Lib Dem led Borough Council.

Sir Menzies Campbell visited Eastleigh recently as part of his local election tour. The visit covered two projects which highlight Eastleigh Liberal Democrats' commitment to investing in the community and to real action on the environment. Accompanied by local MP Chris Huhne and leading Councillors, Sir Menzies was shown the visitor centre at Itchen Valley Country Park which is partly powered by an innovative wind-turbine, installed with joint funding from the Borough Council. The team then visited the d.@rt arts centre at nearby Wildern School. The centre is part funded by the Borough Council and provides first rate dance, drama and music facilities for local pupils and for the wider community.
