Clanfield by-election winner, Sam Payne

Liberal Democrats in Hampshire received a major boost yesterday - just a week before the Local Elections.

Sam Payne won a by-election in the Clanfield ward of East Hants District Council polling almost 60% of the vote.

Result:

Sam Payne (Liberal Democrat) 733

Conservative 550
