Liberal Democrats want Hampshire to keep a local police force

Hampshire Police Force is threatened with merger with neighbouring counties to create a regional force.

Home Secretary Charles Clarke has announced that he plans to make a final decision on the merger at the end of the year.

Liberal Democrats are pressing for Hampshire to keep its own local police force. But what do you think?
